My overflowing bikini drawer would have you believe I am a swimwear savant, but the truth is I divine all my warm-weather-clothing wisdom from my Honolulu (read: bathing suit Mecca!) based friend Kate. For summer, she's going with one-piece swimsuits with matching cover-ups. Same goes for me, naturally! I just snapped up the sheer pink dress, below, for $150, and I'm also eyeing these solid statements from Evarae (above), Jacquemus, Hunza G, Eberjey, Good American, Marysia, and Matteau.

In case you're looking for a striking cover-up that could be worn way off the beach, I highly recommend the And Other Stories dress, above. Within minutes of wearing this new dress, I knew I had made the right choice, as multiple compliments reassured me the flowy silhouette was flattering and the color striking. (All good to know because I hadn't even looked in the mirror to vouch for myself before leaving the house!) Thanks to my friend Melissa, I also discovered the beyond chic Kule look, below, comprised of a do-it-all striped blouse and silk pareo-turned-skirt, also highly versatile! Plus, extra cool raffia from Zara and Cos for endless summer days!

Spring's secret weapon is the khaki skirt, which, if executed properly, skews less preppy, more polished. I, for one, appreciate its unexpectedness, along with its hard-working versatility. J.Crew's Olympia Gayot wears it to perfection (find it here), but these from Vince, Zara, and Mango, are also amazing. P.S. I like the idea of this statement pleated trench--to update any outfit!
