french twist
Monday, October 20
In case you missed my latest Substack from Sunday, I'm linking it here. Because ever since I returned, I've been flooded with questions--everything from the newest see-and-be-seen restaurants (Cherry, Le Grand Cafe--bon chance getting in!), best vintage spots (I referred to this guide), coffee to cross town for, sandwich lines worth waiting in (Le Petite Vendome), how much outerwear to pack, etc. You'll find all of this insider intel here!
styling sparks
Friday, October 17
It’s no small thing to inspire a supermodel’s style—but that’s exactly what happened yesterday when my friend Molly Sims stepped out in an outfit inspired by one I wore not too long ago in New York (below). Her version (with a Toteme skirt, also in this color) reminded me why I fell in love with the look in the first place—and sent me down yet another sourcing rabbit hole for more of those dreamy sheer skirts that somehow feel both effortless and elevated. See below with this $39(!) Asos and this ALC. Naturally, that detour turned into full-on internet trawling, amounting to an end-of-week data dump--the styling sparks and the unexpected finds currently cluttering my browser--to share with you: Anthropologie's embellished coat, Clare V's chocolate velvet pouch, my new Dries Van Noten wrap cardigan (sourced on the day I wore the above outfit!), Edie Parker's glam lipstick lighter case (great gift idea!), this outfit-making denim jacket ($125!), and, finally, the leather and the cute wristlet leather phone case I was telling you about yesterday. Have a great weekend (I'll be reading this as I can't put it down! )
early bird benefits
Thursday, October 16
There’s one underrated upside to jet lag: waking up before the rest of the world--and getting sh*t done. This morning, it was just me—and my twin sister, who’s even more jet-lagged than I am, having crossed two oceans from Amsterdam to work in Hawaii. At the crack of dawn, we FaceTimed about everything and nothing: our children, the state of our skin (we are both trialing this and this right now), and the random things suddenly feeling essential now that the seasons are truly shifting. While she made me swear not to post her latest discovery until after her photo shoot today (all I’ll say is it’s an iPhone case I’ve never seen before and bought on the spot—so cute, and already sold out in her color--stay tuned though!), we did share notes on a few other things worth jumping out of bed early for, including the Zara charm-laden belt, above (in her cart!), the faux fur Mango scarf, the Cos choker necklace, the fringed Zara sweater (in both of our carts pre-call!), the cute fleece from The Great, hair ties from Target ($6!) and an expensive-looking wallet from Madewell! Yes, sometimes the best ideas—and conversations—happen before sunrise.

dressing like her
Wednesday, October 15
Lately I keep finding myself halfway through a day feeling confident in my outfit...until I don't. This happened most recently, while standing in the epically long line at Cédric Grolet in Paris, the louche Parisienne in front of me with her messy bun, perfect suede jacket (above), and espresso nonchalance made me want to book it back to my hotel, re-dress and start all over. This isn’t exactly envy, more like sartorial osmosis—her vibe seeps into my bloodstream, rewrites my mood board, and suddenly my neat outfit feels…wrong. Is this style transference? Or just chronic indecision masquerading as aesthetic sensitivity? Either way, I left the line convinced I didn’t need another pastry—just more spot-on pieces that will always satiate the first time around. Here's what I've rounded up since I've returned: the instantly-sleekifying Reformation blazer, Jessie Loeffler Randall's pink-collared jacket (same thing always happens when I see her!), these outfit-making embellished Tory Burch slingbacks, an Heirlome-like brooch (thank you, Etsy!), Elle Collection's beaded shirt ($94!), H&M's denim skirt ($40!), and a reversible Zara coat.

pins and pants
Tuesday, October 14
A few of my favorite Paris discoveries? A pair of pull-on suede pants by Sprwmn, above--pliant enough for biking up and down Rue de Rivoli, forgiving after a meal of frites and Tarte Tatin at Allard, and unfailingly chic through it all. I also love the jean-like silhouette (and price) of the La Ligne pair, below. Over lunch at Yen (and the most insane tofu I've ever tasted!), a French friend demonstrated the art of Frenchifying the most ordinary of American garments— this exact button-down shirt that we all have tucked away in our closets. She layered it over a simple white T-shirt, then wrapped a string of pearls several times around her neck, transforming the look into something quite sophisticated. And with a single brooch pinned to an atypical oversized barn jacket, she proved that style isn’t about excess — it’s about gesture, intention, and just the right touch of charm.

un peu de paris
Monday, October 13
I spent the weekend in Paris, catching up with family (lucky ducks!) and friends, and it was, pretty parfait. From runs through the Jardin des Tuileries and a quick spin through Le Bon Marché to sole meunière at Le Voltaire (plus soba at Yen, steak au poivre at Le Petit Vendôme, and Dreamin Man's flat whites), every moment felt quintessentially Parisian. In between? Shopping, naturellement! (Stay tuned—my Substack will have all the granular details!) My favorite souvenirs: the vintage Chanel tie-neck blouse layered under a TWP blazer, above, the crisp Rubirosa shirt, below, and a newfound conviction that every outfit deserves a French flourish like this (last pic), this, this, or these. Also, these incredibly soft Repetto jazz shoes in Swan Beige that make every errand feel like a promenade along the Seine. I came home inspired to lean into polished, feminine pieces like this Kika Vargas, this, this, and this. All très wearable, all très me!
