for a friend
Friday, January 11
One of my best friends, who is heading to Mexico in a few weeks, asked me if I could help her source some standout dresses to take on the trip. My (vicarious) pleasure, I responded! I started my search this morning, but got stopped in my tracks almost immediately when I came across all the gorgeous options from Innika Choo. The designer's signature feminine silhouettes feature intricate details and embroidery. And, major bonus, plenty of the prettiest are now on sale here. (Of course, I even bought one for myself!). My favorites include this smock top, this linen dress, and this floral blouse. Check them all out here!

Okay, so I have more cool phone cases than working phones, but that isn't stopping me from adding another and another to my already colorful collection, which includes this monogrammed Minnie and Emma and this leather CHAOS! As I'm planning to work MORE this coming year (expect amazing collabs, new shopping-oriented projects, etc!), I'll be on my phone and then some, so I purchased the red/pink Bauble Bar case, above, with my whole name spelled out, and the hand-painted initial Leatherology below. Done and done!
hibernation style
Tuesday, January 8
Dry January, back-to-school denial and below-average temps have me in serious hibernation mode--and reaching for only the coziest, warmest knits I own. And my mode has just been facilitated/enhanced thanks to Shopbop's latest ridiculously good sale, which has, among other excellent finds, the highly-coveted, super chunky, seriously statement-y sweaters by I Love Mr Mittens, including the diamond-sleeve, high-neck jumper, (more than 50% off!), above, and the yummy marled sweater, below. (I bought this classic oversized cable knit.) Also desirable right this deep-winter minute: these truly perfect Vince suede knee-high boots, this standout One by The Very Warm plaid lined puffer coat, this stunning leather and shearling Frame jacket, these snow-ready See by Chloe boots, and these cute, Sunday-all day LNA brushed knit sweatpants. Shop the whole sale here.

My twin sis just informed me that she has to to go to Tahiti for a photo shoot next month, so I did what any devoted sister would do: I researched the cost of an airline ticket to join her and picked out some pieces for us to take with! The $33 H&M ruffled polka dot bikini, above, is a must, along with the fetching Jaline pareo, below, this adorable striped Tory Burch hat, this way more expensive than it looks Glamorous caftan/dress, this chic Pamela Munson basket bag, and these outfit-punctuating Malone Souliers metallic sandals. #crossfingersiactuallygettogo!

A rogue and evil glitch took down my iPhone the other day, forcing me to wipe it clean. Thankfully, I had my photos backed up! Looking over the past year in pics had me fondly recalling all the fun had, progress made, places traveled, things learned--and, among other revelations, which pieces of clothing I excessively wore! The Reformation dress, above and now on sale, was one of 2018's most tried and trusted, and so is the recently purchased ASTR blazer, below (extraordinary cost per wear as it was $138!), along with these forever-good button front Madewell jeans, this flattering Rebecca Taylor velvet maxi, and this super cute Ganni sweater. In 2019, I'd like to have on repeat looks like this everyday-ready blouson Topshop sweater, these endlessly versatile TKEES leather lace up sandals, this romantic Love Shack Fancy dress, this zip-up Asos knit (I tried to steal one like this from my sis to no avail!), and these wear-with-everything Isabel Marant sneakers.
