sweatpants and sandals
Wednesday, May 7
I am not a sweatpants-outside-the house kind of girl. In fact, I barely wear them indoors. But silk track pants? Now that's a different story. Donni's iteration blurs the line between comfort and chic. Add a crisp button-down and cute ballet flats, and suddenly the whole look makes sense: relaxed, refined, and quietly styled to perfection. I love them in butter yellow, too (below). Can we segue to slipper-like sandals that could also go with? Namely Leandra Cohen's (last pic) Ancient Greek Sandals, a jelly-rendered take on the iconic Dr. Scholl's. Yes, please!
capri or bust
Tuesday, May 6
What do we think: do we need to have Hailey Bieber's legs to pull off summer's capri pants? Or can we just channel the confidence of someone who thinks they have Hailey Bieber's legs and let the pants speak for themselves? I'm betting on the latter--just ordered a pair from Frame (a solid call, given how flattering the jeans always are). I am confident I could also work these options from The Reformation (below) and The Gap. P.S. I am also confident that we could all pull off Hailey's throw-it-on-over-everything Mango trench!

a little lace
Monday, May 5
Let's get one thing straight: A short lace-trimmed skirt--i.e., one hot summer trend--is not about shock value. It's about owning softness with edge, femininity with nothing to prove. Styling it with tomboyish pieces, such as oversized button-downs or knits (below), beat-up tees, or boyfriend jackets—doesn’t just mitigate the lingerie vibe…it amplifies it. The contrast makes it cooler, sharper, more intentional. I love how London-based Lucy Williams, above, wears her Doen skirt with Miu Miu boat shoes and a zip-up jacket. I snapped up the flowy Free People (slightly longer) skirt, last pic.

lace is my love language
Friday, May 2
If you're not into lace, you might as well RSVP "no" to summer. Skip the spritzes, the rooftop soirées, the coastal getaways—because lace is the season. Whispery, romantic, just sheer enough to raise a brow--it's not optional, it's essential. And I'm here for it! After all, I'm a lace lover 365 days a year, every year. So this summer, I am doubling down, eyelet everything! Starting with the Johanna Ortiz, above, and the Veronica Beard, below. I also love the strapless marigold Eliou and Doen's figure-flattering lace! P.S. Doen x GAP launches today--and it won't be around for long.
MWP

When NYC -based Ghia founder Melanie Masarin posted her most-worn outfit of the season yesterday, it got me thinking: what would mine be? But the truth is... I can’t choose just one. I'm caught between the thrill of fresh silhouettes (firstly Prada bag, below), buzzy brands, unexpected colors—and the gravitational pull of beloved staples (this, pictured below, these, also pictured, this and this) that never let me down. It's a delicate democracy in my closet: everyone deserves equal playing time. So while Melanie may have her MVP's (a Chan Luu cotton cardigan, Khaite sandals, and High Sport pants, above), I’m still in the middle of a very stylish rotation and contemplating the following additions, below: the beige flowy skirt by Pixie Market, the linen tank and trouser set from The Reformation, the bubble Banana Republic mini, the bandana print Sandro, this forever-classic Isabel Marant, and the eyelet Madewell top.
coats and sandals
Wednesday, April 30
It's currently peak season for coats up top, sandals down low: spring in the streets, summer on the feet. The key to this transitional look is the footwear: a sandal with quiet intention. Translation: a barely-there heel, an elegant leather thong, or a rope detail that hints at hot and sunny while still holding its own under a cool trench. New York-based Mimi Nguyen is leaning into two pairs: a black Tony Bianco (above, $155!) and a red suede Toteme (last pic) while Coco Schiffer (immediately below) is sticking to walk-everywhere flats by The Reformation. I also love the rope Sperry sandals, below, and these velvet Prada beauties.
