Last Saturday night I attended a fundraiser for my children's school, a festive Moroccan-themed event, brimming with embroidered caftans, hooded djellabas, and glittery slippers. I took the opportunity to bust out a pair of fun tassel earrings, and considering the compliments I received, I'm now planning to wear them again and again. I love how they add an exotically opulent accent to any outfit (even a simple H&M top, above). I also like these jaw-droppers from Jolie (similar to above), Bauble Bar, Serafina, and Chloe.

One of my good friend likes to celebrate Valentine's Day by showing herself some love and splurging on something fun and frivolous. Inspired, I drummed up a list (yes, list!) of love-tokens, because you know I can't one-stop shop! So far, I'm coveting this cute Lingua Franca sweater (above), these rose gold and diamond Anne Sisteron earrings (or this perfectly blingy necklace), these beaded Aquazzura slides, and this romantic getaway-ready Lioness dress.

sweet somethings
Friday, February 3
I was trying on clothes the other day with a friend and noticed that, unlike me, she was wearing a seriously pretty bra. La Perla, to be exact. Though this has been a (the only?!) wardrobe department I've generally neglected, I realized at that moment that it's time for a change. With Valentine's Day around the corner, I thought perhaps you'd also be interested in what's new and pretty--and also more than just date-night wearable! I'm eyeing these underpinnings by Stella McCartney, Eberjey, Calvin Klein, Hanky Panky, Elle Macpherson Body, and Honeydew.
long winter
Friday, February 3
Just in: Groundhog Day's Punxsutawney Phil is forecasting a long winter, which warrants serious consideration of Topshop's latest reversible puffer jacket: retro chevron on one side and classic khaki on the other. A most excellent two for one, folks!

case by case

For my trip to Europe last summer I stuffed a weeks' worth of clothes, shoes and bags into a carry-on suitcase only to have it split--true story--in Split, Croatia. My packed-to-the-gills suitcase literally burst open as I was going through airport security. A customs officer kindly helped me tape it together while I sat on top of it. The scene was both hilarious and harrowing! So, I've been in the market for a replacement and just found this incredibly chic leather-trimmed (and well-priced) Mark and Graham that I had monogrammed. Win!
