As I waited in a long valet parking line the other day after an event with other editors and stylists, our collective vexation shifted into a constructive conversation about our favorite beauty products. I ended up gleaning some amazing new recommendations and thought I'd share! For starters, I learned about Kora's Noni Glow Body Oil, an all natural, multi-purpose body treatment, composed of obscure things like noni extract, rosehip and sunflower seed oils, that's super-duper hydrating and leaves your skin with a silky Miranda Kerr-like sheen. (She invented this product!) Also noteworty: Nyakio's Baobob Lip Balm, which moisturizes and gives your lips a perfectly glossy finish, plus is paraben-, petroleum- and sulfate-free. My picks included: BeautyCounter's touch-up pen, which is an all-natural stand-in for the long revered YSL's Touche Eclat and Goop's skin-softening Exfoliating Instant Facial. Coincidentally, we're all equally obsessed with Vintner's Daughter, an active botanical glow-inducing serum, which I dutifully massage into my face morning and night. It's like Gatorade (but the healthy kind!) for parched skin.

I love how LA-based designer and blogger Julie Sarinana puts a sophisticated spin on a pedestrian summer uniform--Marissa Webb shorts and a t-shirt--with some elevated accessories. Her choice extras: a woven past-season Prada tote (I like this current Prada, or this one and this one), a structured straw hat (like this or this), Gucci sunglasses, and embellished Tory Burch slides. An easy everyday look to emulate!

I love that I am twinning today with model Anita Hodosi, who's sporting her marigold H&M dress in Venice, Italy. I'm thinking she might also like this pretty one that I just snapped up!

Kirna Zabete is one of my favorite go-to boutiques in New York City, so when they asked me to pick out my summer favorites, I literally jumped at the offer! Check out all the amazing goodies I love--and desperately want!--here (some of them, like,hello, Rosie Assoulin, are on sale!).

I'm more of a bikini girl than a one-piece fan, but this season I'm very much inclined to slip into the very sexy one-piece swimsuits on offer. They're cut to flatter and reveal more skin and yet they remain practical as always when I'm, say, surfing or seaside dining! It's all a matter of finding the most complimentary suit and... I have! Several, in fact, including the one-shoulder Araks (also here), above, the plunging Beach Riot (below), this cut-out Marysia, this knotted Lisa Marie Fernandez, this laced-up Ellejay, this striped Norma Kamali, and this rope-trimmed Blue Life.

This summer I'm sidelining my shorts and playing up my mini skirts for a change. Wearing a skirt feels fresher and more feminine, and this season's iterations are extra cool, rendered in bright hues and punchy prints. I especially dig these minis from March11 (on sale!), Miguelina, Dodo Bar Or (my friend used this as a cover-up in St. Barths), Veronica Beard, and Topshop.

My sis recently invested in these Dior slingbacks--and getting her money's worth! She's been running around in them all over the place, from San Francisco to New York to London and back! I'm tempted to follow in her footsteps as they will no doubt work overtime this autumn too!
