Last Sunday afternoon I turned up at a friend's baby shower bash, wearing a floral, bohemian-spirited dress. And I wasn't alone. Literally everyone had on a bohemian dress, including the unerringly stylish model-actress mother-to-be. This fashion coincidence can only be explained by the merits of a boho dress: it's effortlessly chic, ultra feminine and endlessly wearable. At the party, there were excellent versions (many winter-worthy with savvy styling!) including the one above by SPELL, but I also love these by Alice McCall, Natalie Martin, Doen, Zimmermann, Ulla Johnson, Free People, and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi.

British beauties like Lucy Williams, above, are all over Alexa Chung's latest collection for Marks & Spencer, and it's no wonder: it's replete with her spot on style signatures, from a sharp velvet tux jacket to a feminine polka dot halter dress.
