It's not easy to impress the have-it-all crowd in Palm Beach, where opulence is the norm and elegance a given— yet even the most discerning locals paused to admire my sheer lace Doen skirt and blouse on Wednesday night. What also turned heads: The Great's studded dress, my Chloe jacket, my white TWP blazer (bananas-chic!), ASTR The Label bustier dress and new (Hermes-looking) Monday Swimwear bikini, all below. Here's what I'd like to work for my next twirl around Worth Avenue: the lace-trimmed Zara mini and sheer skirt, the leopard print H&M maxi, this Rachel Comey strapless eyelet, dress, this flowy Kallmeyer skirt, these tasseled Taller Marmo pants, and this jersey Quince dress.

spring hacks

Remember when we were layering a red sweater over our shoulders for an instant those-who-know, thrown-together style update? Now it's time for a little lace to do the heavy lifting. Inspired by Look 3 in The Row's spring collection, a peeking-out-from-under lace-trimmed camisole (designed to do exactly this!) breaks up the old and adds a hit of this season's romance twist, above. Other easy styling hacks to freshen things up: Chloe-esque colors in everyday ready-to-wear J.Crew, red thong kitten-heel sandals (or these a la Row with everything), an asymmetric button-down shirt, a studded Western style belt, and retro-looking sneakers (these and these).

spring eternal

Spring cleaning? Try spring scheming. I’m not talking pastels and peasant dresses (cute, but let’s be real, I’m not frolicking in a meadow, I’m hustling through Tuesday). This is a different kind of seasonal shift: a fresh bloom of year-round spring-fresh, courtesy of ME+EM. These are "my-life-just-got-breezier clothes." A soft yet structured pinstriped blazer, cropped pants to go with, a tissue-thin merino henley (or two!), a pleated skirt that plays nice with sandals and heels. Tailoring so slick it basically self-styles. I’m talking about trust-worthy pieces (these trousers, this silk shirt!) that show up 365 days a year, not just when the flowers sprout. So yes, I technically shopped for spring. But really? I just made getting dressed this season easier. And possibly smugger.

weekend report

My niece spent the weekend with me and it was pure fun. We had the loveliest kind of girl time—the quiet kind, side by side on our laptops Saturday morning, sharing croissants and walking her dog. We whipped up a Caesar Salad, popped out for matcha, and she, of course, made a beeline for my ballet flats and wore them around the house like she owned the place. She’s got taste (surprise, surprise)! We scrolled too long, took silly pics of some new clothes in my closet--Alix of Bohemia, Le Monde Beryl, Forever and Always sneakers, Aligne denim dress and Citizens of Humanity denim blazer--and shared some favorite finds (Prada crochet bag, Zara skirt) and somehow it all felt like the perfect reset!

skirts and hearts

It's that time of year: the air smells like something new and something fading. It’s not quite spring, not quite summer—and winter’s still whispering through the wind. Welcome to skirt season: that elusive window when bare legs meet wool coats, sandals flirt with sweaters and delicate lace (above) tempers rain-proof parkas. It's a balancing act, and somehow, it's when we dress our best--because everything feels fresh! The skirts blowing in this season aren’t just repeats from last spring. They’re a little different. A little unexpected: asymmetric cuts, exaggerated slits, bubble shapes (!), and hems that flirt between midi and maxi. And they’re making a very good case for shaking up your usual rotation, particularly the ones below by Tory Burch, Everlane, Tuckernuck, Cinq a Sept, and Mango. P.S. Also in season (every season): heart necklaces (lapis Thatch and long Hart on top of my usual Adina Reyter charms). I always wear mine on my sleeve... I mean neck. ;)

He isn't always the easiest to please but the best boss I ever had sent me on a very important mission yesterday: get him Coachella-ready. While my eldest son was at school, I raced around Century City mall, trying on sunglasses for him, hunting down lightweight, short sleeve shirts, and overthinking the perfect length of shorts. I was fully in stylist mode, running store to store like it was Fashion Week prep. Of course, I couldn’t resist trying on a few things myself and picked up the slick H&M canvas jacket, above, (found in the men's department naturally), plus this and this, and sorted through the just-in spring collection (immediately below). I also spotted (below) the cute Steve Madden crochet sneakers, the do-it-all Zara wrap dress, this Madewell linen maxi (that will be challenging not to wear everyday come deep summer), these excellent Loro Piana dupes, this problem-solving hair clip, and this beaded Eres swimsuit.

Yes, the headlines are actually making me consider growing my own food, wondering whether my wardrobe can double as a retirement plan, and asking ChatGPT how to file for dual citizenship in Portugal. But amid all this financial flux, there’s one index that refuses to drop: my investment in a dreamy summer--along with a carefree line-up that looks reliably chic. Of course, it includes a diversified style portfolio: part high-yield (hi, Miu Miu and Prada), part high street (forever grateful for you, Mango), all fantasy (this beaded white bag too)! Also: the butter Cos cotton blazer, above, The Row-like red Roucha parka, the slinky white Sandro trousers, the Banana Republic peek-a-boo lace skirt, the Blithe crochet set, the floral applique Farm Rio dress, the lace Sandro mini and River Island stripes and ruffles.

work choices

Olympia Gayot's Instagram is the kind of feed that makes you want to rethink everything you’ve ever worn to work—and maybe your life choices while you're at it. Her outfits hit that perfect sweet spot between polished and cool, with a rotating lineup of pieces that are somehow both timeless and totally of-the-moment. Naturally, most of them are from J.Crew (she is the creative director), and many of her recent looks are now a glorious 40% off. But before you load up your cart with half the site (including her black slip dressoff-the-shoulder LBD, and laminated barn jacket), there’s one recurring detail that deserves a closer look: the flats. A single pair of sleek, minimal Loro Piana flats appears again and again (more sizes here)—paired with tailored pants, crisp skirts, relaxed dresses—and they are quietly anchoring the whole vibe. So now the question becomes: do we make the smart move and snag the J.Crew pieces on sale? Or go full splurge and invest in the power shoe of the season? Sorry to introduce a new crisis to your day... but you didn’t really want to be productive anyway, did you?
