Of all the cold-weather trends coming down the pike, the puffer may be the easiest—and coziest—one to pull off! Designers such as Stella McCartney and Marques Alameida are updating this winter staple by rendering them in unexpected silhouettes, vivid colors and retro-spirited prints. My favorites include these by Isabel Marant, Asos, Tophsop, Stella McCartney and Zara.

Found! Winter's best accessory: Tibi's merino wool scarf. To be clear, it is no ordinary scarf. It can be wrapped around your body a million different ways to keep you warm and chic--I love it tied up like a cardigan, above--and worn with pretty much everything wintry. It comes in black (my fave), white and amber.

It was a good thing I was on vacation--off the coast of Hvar, Croatia, to be exact--when I discovered 100 Grams of Sun's Instagram account, otherwise I would have died from a lethal case of wanderlust! Brooklyn-based Nanda Hampe chronicles her far-flung adventures across the globe, sharing exquisite images of awe-inspiring locales with personal style to match. Take, for example, her Rhodes Resort dress which harmonizes quite beautifully with Bali's verdant rice fields. Seems to me her secret for vacation dressing success boils down to vibrant hues and prints that can hold their own against breathtaking backdrops. Pieces like these from Yumi Kim, Zimmermann, Asos, Frame and ALC! I say wear them back in reality to feel just a little more glamorous!

One of the best things about traveling with friends is. . . shopping their suitcases! Recently in the Hamptons, I scored some great new pieces inspired by my pals' packing: these H&M two-toned jeans (pictured above), this Alice McCall tassel-trimmed romper, this striped Topshop shirt, this pom pom cut-out Storets blouse, and these satin Oscar de la Renta sandals (similar to above). Can't wait to see them all on my home doorstep!

Unlike me, my husband doesn't care much for fashion, but he does have a signature look. It centers on surf trunks, Ray Ban sunglasses, and a t-shirt. When it's cold, he wears a hoodie pulled over his head a la the Unabomber. It's a very, um, distinct look, which I have come to accept. But it looks like in the months ahead, his fashion game will be spot on, as a hooded sweatshirt is a key fall trend. Thanks to designers like Vetements, the casual staple is front and center--and decidedly chic! Especially these ones by Topshop (similar to above), Happiness, 3.1 Phillip Lim, H&M, and Vince.

I've decided it's time to up my button-down shirt game with a fresh-looking striped shirt. Timeless and versatile, it's the perfect (statement-y) foil to fall-ready skirts and pants.
