white lace tops
Friday, July 8
There are some girls who stockpile jeans or shoes. My addiction: white lace tops. The feminine, floaty kind that are vintage spirited, delicate seeming, and feather-light. I have sourced my favorites from disparate places (think a Buenos Aires flea market to Zara) and, year after year, they never look "old" to me. In fact, at least one of them inevitably makes it into a suitcase whenever I travel. Lately, I've come across a slew of lovely ones, all under $200. They include this English Factory (similar to above), this Isabel Marant-inspired Endless Rose, this eyelet Scotch & Soda, this crochet accented Maven West, and this cropped Three of Something.
hole in one

Of all the Instgram pics I saw from last night's Serpentine Gallery party in London, it's this one of fashion editor Lucy Williams that stood out from the rest. Her asymmetrical Tibi dress shows just the right amount of skin and the ruffles add good evening drama (though I could easily see this dress during the day with flat, lace-up gladiators). Red Aquazzura sandals amp up things perfectly. What's more, it's the kind of winning outfit that can be worn again and again. Well done!

grey matter
Wednesday, July 6
The current preponderance of charcoal denim outside Paris' couture shows has me wanting some--pronto! The soft, neutral hue is a fresh alternative to ubiquitous indigo, works from day to night (and even to a haute couture Chanel runway show, above), and is spot on suitable for fall. I'm digging these styles by Frame Denim, R13, Amo, Topshop, Alexander Wang, and The Great.

I didn't know that a little top could cause so much drama--until I snagged this $70 ruffled lovely. The compliments are non-stop! You can find it here.

converse cool
Tuesday, July 5
Converse sneakers seem to be popping up (again!) everywhere from Paris' couture shows (above) to Italy's Floating Piers (below) to, where else but, New York City's Home Depot. Now that's versatile! These practical, all-purpose kicks can also stand up the most elegant and girly dresses, as demonstrated in these snaps. While a punchy hue, like orange or red, makes more of a statement, I prefer a foolproof white or black.

dresses on vacation
Friday, July 1
Scrolling through my Instagram feed this morning gave me a serious case of wanderlust--and vacation dress envy! So naturally I set off to comb the corners of the world wide web to find a few of my own summer getaway dresses--which I plan to wear soon in Hawaii, Europe and the Hamptons!--and came up with these enviable options by Zimmermann (pictured immediately below) Misa, The Reformation, One by Bardot, Anjuna, Reverse, Tanya Taylor, Leith, Place Nationale, BCBG, and Cleobella. Happy long weekend!
rope sandals
Thursday, June 30
After checking out these snaps, you might want to give your Birks a break this summer and slip on some rope sandals instead. Toteme is the trend's OG (sold out everywhere except here), but this version by Urban Outfitters is spot on and $34! There are also the lace-up versions (last pic), which instantly step up any look. I like these iterations by Topshop, Soludos (pictured below), Alvaro, and Isabel Marant (on sale!).
