Rarely will you see me wearing fingernail polish, but a photo shoot earlier this month (details to come!) called for a statement manicure, featuring a striking scarlet shade. Post-shoot, I could not stop staring at my fancy red fingers, which, frankly, did not feel like my own. Even my friends commented/noticed! All of this prompted me to seek out the chicest, most dramatic reds, and I came up with a few: Nails Inc. Valentine's Day is fast approaching, so naturally I've been thinking about... jewelry! Specifically pretty pieces from Anne Sisteron, the Beverly Hills-based jeweler who's become the go-to designer among my friends of late. The latest addition to my dressing uniform: a bomber-inspired cardigan. I'm layering it underneath my winter coat and will be wearing it over lightweight t-shirts and blouses come spring. With winter storm Linus looming over New England--snow, freezing rain, more snow!--some additional cold weather style inspo seems in order. The looks, above and immediately below, hail from chilly and grey Paris, while the others are gleaned from Copenhagen. What they have in common is colorful (i.e., anything-but-black!) outerwear. Perhaps the reasoning is that these sunny shades ward off winter's doom-and-gloom--or is that just positive thinking?
