Celine's coveted gold-plated shoes from last fall, above, have paved the way for this summer's gold plated sandals. Chloe took the lead with its glinty neoprene slides, below, which are, of course, sold out, save for a few small sizes here. I love how the gold hardware ups the glam factor without sacrificing comfort. Other less expensive, arguably more chic possibilities include these by Sam Edelman, See by Chloe, Casadei, Aldo, and Zara.

Last night a friend's birthday party with a "dress to impress but in a casual way" dress code had me trying on at least a dozen outfits. And I still got it wrong! This morning I came across this image and it made me think that next time I'll dress around a pair of fancy flats, like the Valentino pair, above. (I also LOVE this sandal version.) These flashy shoes bridge the casual-impressive gap with their easy-breezy flatness and dazzling embellishment. And wearing them means I can keep the rest of my outfit pretty simple. I'm thinking one of these head-turners from Guiseppe Zanotti, Tabitha Simmons, or J.Crew could pull of the trick!

For me, LA's days-long heatwave is causing a fashion meltdown. I literally want to wear next to nothing--but can;t.

I am completely obsessed with Delfina Delettrez's sculptural, original-looking, conversation-starting rings, how they don't quite wrap around your finger but still twinkle like ginormous blingy baubles. Each one is like a piece of art. My current faves include this pearl and white gold open ring and this multicolor topaz and peridot ring (pictured above). Of course, Delfina's unique jewelry has spawned some good (and less expensive) lookalikes, such as this asymmetrical pearl-studded Vita Fede (also gorgeous in silver), this cute Marc by Marc Jacobs, and this gold Elizabeth and James. I'd like to have them all in my jewelry box!

kate moss x topshop

Kate Moss' first capsule collection for Topshop back in 2007 had me lining up outside Barneys in Beverly Hills, where it was sold, hours before the store opened. I ended up buying two dresses, which I still adore and wear to this day. So it's no surprise her next collab with Topshop, hitting stores today, has me excited. The collection, as you would expect, is innately Kate Moss: bohemian, insouciant, feminine, and slightly rebellious. All of the pieces are inspired by her own clothes, including one-of-a-kind vintage gems. My favorites include this embroidered kaftan (which I'd like to wear lolling around on the beach in Ibiza, a la Moss), this yellow one shoulder chiffon dress (most likely inspired by the frock, pictured above), this beaded flouncy camisole, this satin evening-ready romper, and these sumptuous suede shorts. Things are selling out as I write, so check out the whole collection this minute here.
