I've been a regular at Bar Pitti in Manhattan since the late '90s, and while I was there last week, feasting on my usual funghi saltati, I could not help but feel like I was back in the late '90s. Because pretty much every female diner there was wearing a slip dress! And now I am game to give it a go again, too. It's the ideal dress for these humid summer days, and I love how it's so easy to layer with an oversized cardigan, sweater, hoodie or blazer. I love the Chanel-spirited silhouette of this denim jacket. I'd size up and wear it pretty much over everything!

I'd say I'm pretty proficient in discerning a good dress from a not so good dress. But I know I've truly hit the bullseye when my twin sister outright steals one from me. Such was the case last weekend on Nantucket, where she actually took all the dresses in my suitcase and put them in her closet, including the , above.
