A sunny getaway to my backyard this weekend had me decked out in a new dress (snapped up on sale for $50!) and my best beach-weathered hat, above. The one-two punch of chlorine and Vitamin D boosted the vacay vibes, plus inspired me to share some transporting styles that might just spark a bit of joy right now. I am well aware that retail therapy can't solve problems--but I can assure you it can mitigate a bad mood. Spring has not yet sprung but evidently its dresses have! European fashion show-goers are currently blossoming in floral and floaty midis, topped by coats and blazers to stave off the seasonal chill. I ADORE the , above, the (second to last pic) and also have these on my wish list: an endlessly-sexy, day-to-night , (on sale and you will be even more elated when next fall's fringe hits), , , , , and vintage (sadly too small for me, but so, so beautiful!).

I'm totally crushing on this spring's crochet trend (see , , (for reference)--and too impatient to wait till it warms up to wear it. Hence I'll be layering my crochet dresses for now with menswear-inspired blazers, like above. I scored a few inexpensive ones from Etsy in the vein of and , and also, snapped up this forever-chic on sale. I also love these now and later iterations from , , , and (vintage).

This kind of flower power will get me through springs eternal.
