It's no secret that I own lots (and lots) of dresses, but the ones I love most are the ones that cost me the least. One of them is a two-year-old H&M dress, above, which I like to wear as a bathing suit cover-up (i.e. sheer, without its slip). It racked up so many compliments in the Hamptons this past weekend, I decided dig up other under-$100 (beach-to-bar) dresses, which you can wear now and summers beyond. So far, I found this flower-print (similar to above), this paisley (and this short ), this floral , this boho , and this super cute gingham dress, below, for $73!!
Before I knew it (before I even had a cup of coffee!), I had scrolled through 1,008 of 6,840 under-$100 dresses on this morning. No, I did not have time to do this. Not even a little bit! Truth be told, I simply could not stop scrolling, due to the compelling and staggering amount of amazingly inexpensive options. They just kept popping up again and again and again (and again!). These are effortlessly chic dresses to swan around in on a hot summer day, ones that you don't have to think twice about, that just simply. . . work! For starters, take the breezy white $51 , above, the $56 , below, this edgy , this (currently on its way to me!), this statement, this dress, this frock, and this vacation-ready .
School's not even out (okay, one more day!) but I've already stepped things way down, turning to the one-and-doneness of a long print dress day in and day out. The feather-light floral, above, is new by (I am wearing it backwards) and the one, below, is past season (snapped up at). I also want to slip into these under $100 frocks by , , and .
This summer anklets and sandals will go together like rosé and the beach. Making the most of this pairing are jewelry maker Chan Luu and shoe designer Carrie Forbes, with their just-launched collab of pretty pearl anklets and chic raffia sandals. Both can be worn individually (and over and over again), of course, and can be found ! P.S. The gorgeous ikat-print Ulla Johnson dresses, above, are on super sale and !
Summers past have seen lots of LWD's (little white dresses), but this year calls for the same acronym but a below-the-knee hem length: A.K.A., the long white dress. The head-to-toe silhouette is clean, light and simply feminine. Added bonus: solar-proof! Taking a cue from our Australian counterparts currently whizzing through Fashion Week, I'm looking to slip into these light lovelies from (on crazy sale!), , , , , , , and .
