This morning I took a quick trip to the land of warm and sunny via model Lily Aldridge's Instagram account. For the last few days, she's been soaking up the sun and sea--in enviable style. I'm loving her striped Posse swimsuit, above, her Le Kasha knitted dress, her Posse red maxi, and, her Prada bag, which I found on sale here!

Right now there are several open tabs (read: shopping carts) on my laptop browser and they all share one thing in common: stylish minimalism at a bare minimum. Take a look for yourself at the cashmere wide-cuff H&M, above, for $150, the Toteme-inspired double-breasted wool coat ($200), the And Other Stories asymmetric buttoned cardigan ($150), the relaxed-chic Frankie Shop trousers ($225) , and Everlane's cute (and endlessly versatile) cropped cargo jacket ($148).

The sun is finally shining again in LA, and all I can think about is spring and the clothes to go with! I'm hankering for easy breezy yet balmy-ready pieces--essentially Posse's new collection, featured here on my favorite Danish twin models Cecilie and Amalie Moosgaard! I love the throw-on-and-go looks, above, here and here, along with the striped strapless top, linen trousers, button-up vest and mini shift dress, all below and each priced less than $300. Spring ahead right this way!

This new extra chunky cardigan actually fits over my ski jacket, which leaves me extra room in my suitcase, packed for the snowy slopes this weekend. What else I am bringing? This zip-up wool-blend Cordova bodysuit to be worn under everything (it's so comfy!), these super flattering boot-cut ski pants by Erin Snow, this fleece by The Great, this vintage-looking Me & Em ski sweater and this striped Kule balaclava. Up, up and away!

water works

I've always wanted to be one of those dewy-skinned, flaxen-haired girls who sips from a water-filled HydroFlask all day long. Meanwhile, I count myself lucky if I get my 8 daily glasses in. So for my New Year's resolution I decided I'd schedule in water breaks, and 10 days in, I am on track! (Skin's looking better, too!) Also, randomly, on the subject of water and on the recommendation of a friend, I got myself a new filtered Jolie shower head that is seriously working wonders--no joke! My hair, for starters, is feeling and looking fuller. It makes sense though that the water I put on my body (read: my skin and largest organ!) is as important as the water I put in my body. LA water contains chlorine, heavy metals and contaminants (e.g., magnesium, calcium, copper, lead, arsenic) that are simply unnatural and not good for my skin and hair, and using a better shampoo or conditioner is not going to fix this. P.S. The shower head is designed to maximize water pressure, too, so all around it's a winner! In other random beauty news: Moda Operandi just launched its tightly edited beauty platform, and, of course, I want everything, especially the lines I've never heard of!

I've been wearing zip-up sweaters like crazy lately, appreciating how the extended collars add oomph to my outerwear. So, I scooped up another one, the Sandro, in the last pic, and I'm psyched because it also looks chic and unexpected layered over something feminine and delicate. I'm also into these by And Other Stories, The Great and Bernadette.
