happy hues
Thursday, September 24
Although we are still clueless (and concerned!) about what will happen in the 2020 season finale, Milan Fashion Week is at least dropping a few hints about next season--and--woohoo!--it's looking brighter! Spring-y, vibrant colors are currently cropping up in the streets, exuberant and unexpected combinations of them and on the runways, too. I'm ready to embrace these happy hues now, especially in the form of this striped Closed sweater (immediately below), this print Kule cardigan, this Derek Lam 10 Crosby pullover, this Frankie Shop jumpsuit, this Maison Margiela pleated skirt, these Tibi faux leather pants (similar to above), and this yellow print Reformation skirt.

pretty in pink
Thursday, September 24
The second limited edition collection of Rouge Hermès just launched in the prettiest shades of pink, all suitable for the change of seasons. (The packaging alone, complete with a cute little orange box and canvas bag, had me though!) And did you know they're refillable?! Get 'em here before they sell out!
super stars
Wednesday, September 23
While fashionistas worldwide are running around in the just-launched (and pretty much sold out) Prada x Adidas sneakers, seen here, I am going sly-guy style in the original Superstars at a fraction of the cost. They look the same to me. Just saying!
silver linings
Tuesday, September 22
Gold is always good, but silver has a fresh new shine right now. Especially in these subdued times. Current snaps from London Fashion Week, featured here, reveal silver chains beaming on bags and shoes. Chunky silver link necklaces are also dazzling, effecting an overall casual edge. I would like to shine with this Jennifer Zeuner silver choker, this Paco Rabanne chainmail bracelet, this Yuzefi silver link-handle bag (pictured below), and these Gucci chain-strap flats. P.S. I also love the silver chain leather belt, below. Anyone know its provenance?
bowled over
Tuesday, September 22
A friend of mine recently renovated her garage into an impeccably chic guest house (A.K.A: kids' cave/WFH office). When I visited her last week, there were all kinds of creative flourishes to take in, such as the unexpected khaki-colored bathroom tiles, whitewashed chevron brick floors, and vintage copper light fixtures. However, there was also one eye-catcher that I could actually take away to my own home! Perched on the raw wood floating shelves were heavy, hand-hewn-looking ceramic bowls--like the cool kind you'd find at Gjusta. I picked one up and discovered they're from Target! Hallelujah! Turns out the whole collection (and my favorite the Tilley Bowl) is up for the taking here!
carry out
Monday, September 21
Long gone are the days spent mostly out of the house, bopping around from here to there and everywhere in between with my life in my bag. Now it's just me, my wallet, my phone--and a lip gloss, if I remember. Enter Rouje's cute wallet above, with a detachable lipstick-holding strap! Genius and chic--for $155! Also cute: Clare V's phone case bag, last, pic, which, of course, I'd monogram, Loewe's go-with-everything mini pouch, this chain-handle mini Gucci, the Peter Do silver case, below and this mini but mighty Wandler cross-body.
cable news
Monday, September 21
Our most trusted wardrobe workhorses have never worked harder during the past seven(!) months. Now that fall is in the air, another all-time closet MVP--the cable knit fisherman sweater--is poised to join the team. She looks a little sleeker though this season, with a slightly (not too much) oversize fit and yet a lot less bulk. My absolute new favorite comes from Loulou Studio, above, but I also like the fits of these by Isabel Marant and Anthropologie.
fly girl
Friday, September 18
The one upside to flying the (un)friendly skies right now is that the airlines are actually trying to be nice to their customers. My sister experienced this firsthand the other day, after flying from NY to LA and accidentally leaving behind her new leather Zara blazer on board. She assumed she'd never see it again, however, American Airlines not only found her jacket--but even delivered it to her door! Meanwhile, while I was winging around the World Wide Web, I found these $35 chain-link Asos shoes, below, (it also comes in tweed), with the help of @greatthingsibought, plus these truly perfect A.P.C. x GOOP's trouser-like jeans, last pic. That's the weekly wrap, people, happy weekend!
vested interest
Friday, September 18
This season's knit vest trend was one I thought I could easily skip, but then this snap popped up on my feed and--changed my mind. What's particularly good about this one (by Mango) is that it can be worn on its own or layered over a blouse. Plus, it's $50! P.S. Mango has some other new stylish treats up its fall sleeves, all exhibited here: The faux leather aviator jacket, faux leather button-up shirt (last two pics) and the striped zip-up knit.
