Summers past have seen lots of LWD's (little white dresses), but this year calls for the same acronym but a below-the-knee hem length: A.K.A., the long white dress. The head-to-toe silhouette is clean, light and simply feminine. Added bonus: solar-proof! Taking a cue from our Australian counterparts currently whizzing through Fashion Week, I'm looking to slip into these light lovelies from Jonathan Simkhai (on crazy sale!), Monroe, Mara Hoffman, Anais Jourden, Free People, Lee Matthew, Ephemera, and The Reformation.

Typically, Australian Fashion Week a harbinger of stylish things to come stateside, and this time around it's showing us, as warm weather season is now wrapping up Down Under, what will be hot in our northern hemisphere summer. As you can see from these recent pics, kitten-heel strappy sandals, high-waist white jeans (particularly those two together!), and long dresses are out and out must-haves. As fate would have it, I just bought my own new pair of high-waist white jeans last week in New York from Everlane (see me in them here), and they're super comfy (size down as they stretch!). I also love these by Mother (the cool scalloped hem!) and J Brand (the hold-it-all-in, super-flattering fit). Strappy sandal winner are pictured above and below by The Row (also here), The Reformation, and By Far. I have far too many favorite long dresses on my wish list, but if I had to whittle down to one or two, I'd definitely work this and this (on sale!).
