Four weeks of flitting to and from runway shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris had fashionistas forsaking their fancy footwear for--hallelujah!--norm-core sneakers. Like the kind cost less than $100. I'm all for this trend, because it's one that I can shamelessly/easily execute in my running-around, everyday life. There are so many--almost too many!--good options, but I'd boil it down to these by Vans, New Balance, Adidas, Nike and Converse.

Due to this winter's record-breaking snowfall in the California Sierras, forecasters are predicting an extended ski season--i.e. Mammoth Mountain's closing day is July 4! In my mind, this means it's a perfect time to snap up one of the slope-suitable, Fair Isle-inspired sweaters, trending on the Fall/Winter 2017 runways, including Loewe, above, Tory Burch, below, and Sacai, last image. As we're nearing winter's end, there are, of course, loads of options on sale, such as this &Daughter and this J.Crew. Personally, I have a soft spot for the vintage Fair Isles, because they look authentic, feature standout detailing and are generally inexpensive. To say that I have a basket bag obsession right now would be an understatement. Now these leather-trimmed buckets by Lindroth Design are fueling the flames further! I love their Jane Birkin/Hermes-spirited handles, and how they come in small and large sizes. Personally, I prefer small--but would be happy with any size or all!

Proof that a wine-laced work lunch meeting can be productive: Today, not only was I introduced to my new favorite rose wine, Bermejo Listan Negro Rosado, (for the record, I had just one glass!), but I also discovered my new go-to red lipstick: Rodin Luxe Lipstick in Red Hedy. It's perfectly creamy, infused with yummy-smelling essential oils and day-to-night wearable. A true find!
