Tuesday, January 26
You'd think that an invitation to a haute couture show in Paris would require some major dressing up. Not necessarily. Or at least not in the conventional sense. I love Taylor Tomasi Hill's subversively chic outfit, above, anchored in everyday (i.e., accessible) basics and "dressed up" with distinctively stylish accessories along with a most excellent cape-like jacket. I'd like to follow suit with outfit-making extras such as these Gucci pumps (pictured above), this Kule striped scarf (also above), or this one by J.Crew; this See by Chloe cape, this And Other Stories cardigan, this Finders Keepers topper, and this Marissa Webb leather trim jacket.

office overhaul
Friday, January 22
I kind of live in my office--it's where I write LE CATCH after all!--so keeping its decor stylish and inspiring is pretty key. Though I'd been thinking it needed a refresh for quite some time, I just could not get around to it. Too much to do! Then One Kings Lane called and asked me if I'd like some help. Um, yes please! It all came together so quickly, so fabulously, so spot on--so me! I truly love it and I think you will too. Check out my gorgeous new office, and all the amazing pieces--all shoppable, of course--here!
spring shoes
Thursday, January 21
Predictably, spring's shoes will have us baring some skin, but this year, we'll also be busting out unexpected colors and prints. For this trend, we can thank a far-reaching range of designers: Aquazurra and Valentino focused on striking Southwestern-inspired patterns, while Tabitha Simmons and Sophia Webster adhered to colorful embroidery and embellishment. Gianvito Rossi and Lanvin featured bold color-blocking, as Paul Andrew, Fendi and Dolce & Gabbana spotlighted florals. Even Nine West is in on this trend, stylishly mixing and matching prints. Then there are those who cranked up the color spectrum, like Chloe, Zara and Tibi. I'd like to slip into these season statement makers from Isabel Marant (or these!), Sam Edelman, J. Crew, Elina Linardaki, Madewell and Proenza Schouler.

fly fur
Thursday, January 21
Meanwhile back in winter wonderland, otherwise known as near-freezing Milan, where the Fall 2016 menswear shows are underway, the fur is flying! Seventies-inspired short jackets and knee-length coats are showing a particularly strong game. Lucky for us, the leather-trimmed Sandro, above, is half off. Also on sale: this Alexander Wang, this Topshop, and this Philanthropy. I also found a bunch of long coats that are on trend, some of which are on sale: Asos, Topshop Unique, Whistles, DKNY, Rebecca Taylor and Proenza Schouler.

sneaky chic
Tuesday, January 19
Mercury is in retrograde, which may explain why things have seemed exceptionally hectic (and haywire) lately! So I've taken to wearing running sneakers with everyday outfits to keep up! To be clear: these are not the fashionably bright, neon, statement-making sneakers of yore. Rather, they're practical, versatile, neutral-hued kicks that go from, yes, school runs to laps around the supermarket, and then, marathon-like, on to photo shoots. They do facilitate getting around faster and more comfortably, but I also love the casually stylish, throw-them-on-go look--and these pics demonstrate that I'm not the only one reaping these benefits right now! I like these double-duty sneakers from New Balance (pictured above), Nike (or these), and APL.

Deep into sweater weather, I'm thinking something other than a sweater would be fun to wear. Like a poncho, for instance! It's a warm, cozy, easy-to-throw-on layer (not necessarily limited to the chilly outdoors, either)--and stands out from the crowd! I love these statement-making indoor-friendly styles by Michael Kors, Club Monaco, Derek Lam, Maison Scotch, Mango, and Burberry (on sale!). The one pictured above is by Free People and is on sale here.
