H&M's take on Chloe's multi-color sandal is the essence of cheap and cheerful!

Fancy shoes and casual jeans aren't exactly bedfellows--but they can look like a match made in heaven! From my perspective, the dressed up/dressed down tension can electrify an outfit. Take, for instance, the studded Jimmy Choo sandals, above, which crank up the frayed Levi's to cocktail-ready caliber. Credit the shoe's denim-complimenting attributes: discreet bling and caged edginess. More have-it-all heels that toe the fancy/casual line: this python and suede ankle-tie Alexandre Birman, this tassled Topshop, this strappy patent-leather Tabitha Simmons, this metallic Sophia Webster, and this embellished Gucci.

Found: the perfect summer blazer! Cleanly tailored and made of lightweight linen, this versatile Club Monaco linen blazer goes seamlessly from the office to off-duty. (I'd also throw it over a cocktail dress!) The sleeve ties add an extra dose of chic. This jacket is so good, I might just have to get in black, too!

Even though I work at home, I still dress up every morning as if I am going to an office. During the summer, I gravitate toward a more relaxed but still polished look, similar to the outfit, above. It's rooted in the classics, but the flared Ellery pants (on sale!) and masculine Victoria Beckham loafers (30% off!) add up-to-the-minute edge. Other current work wardrobe staples I'd like to employ: this striped cotton lace-up Madewell shirt, these cropped wide-leg J.Crew pants, this tie-sleeve Tibi tunic, these Louise et Cie lace-up flats, this DSQUARED2 striped sash blouse, these Acne Studios flared trousers and these Isabel Marant high-waisted pants.

Everyday deserves a little daydreaming break, so here you go: Martha Ward's Instagram feed. A scan of her ethereal images reveals an affinity for long, whimsical dresses, vintage camisoles, ruffles and pompoms, all in filter-perfect locales from Provence to St. Barths.
