My most recent Napa getaway was filled with fun activities from poolside lounging to pizza making. Then there were the daily dress-offs, for which my friends and I busted out our newest and finest. Turns out the one that got the most tongues wagging was my Zara chambray denim dress, above. Not only did it immediately prompt every single woman on holiday with me (five in all) to order one for themselves, but it let me stylishly breeze through a vineyard bike ride. My first groggy day back after long weekend spent in warm, wine-flowing Napa just got better thanks to NET-A-PORTER's sale. It's particularly well-stocked this time around with gorgeous summer-ready sandals, such as the Chloe pair, above, along with these by Proenza Schouler, Jimmy Choo, K Jacques, and Valentino. I've been counting down the days to the upcoming l-o-n-g weekend but thankfully I no longer have to wait for the epic Memorial Day Weekend sales, as they're now on! The current 40% off situation over at Nordstrom's is particularly incredible, as the virtual racks are packed with all the pretty summer dresses I could ever want to wear (and take on weekend getaways), along with gorgeous sandals, primo bags and so on. My twin sister and I have a way of doing things in unison: falling for our first crush (unfortunately the same boy); having kids (our first were three months apart, our second, three weeks apart); and, now, renovating our homes. What is typically a painful process has been made a lot less painful thanks to furniture shopping together around town and flea markets abroad! Of course, there is also the question of how to make room for all the new stuff. . . (For those of you not familiar with Chairish, it's a super curated online marketplace for chic vintage furniture and décor, where I've snapped up numerous well-priced treasures for my home in the past!) If you are curious about what adorned my house in recent times, this will offer some insight--plus there are quite a few things I'm parting with that I feel I may one day regret (!), like this Serge Moule-inspired light fixture, these room-punctuating turquoise urns, this Lulu DK pillow, this striking bamboo mirror, and this pagoda chandelier, which used to elegantly hang in my home office. I'm planning to mix up my short summer dress routine with a few long, relaxed, and flowy maxis, especially ones that bare some leg (or a shoulder or two). This season's long dresses are all about strategically-placed cut-outs that show just the right amount skin.
