My long whirlwind weekend served up the requisite fireworks, a last-minute trip to wake surf at an inland LA lake (yes, those exist!)--along with an introduction to a rather perfect pair of white jeans. I met them by way of a good friend, who sauntered into my house for a barbecue wearing them, their high-waisted, wide-legged silhouette so spot on right now and flattering. They're by Ulla Johnson and only available here. Since wide-leg white jeans are the ones to have this summer, I sought out some more excellent options. In between all the beaching, swimming, barbecuing, and Fourth of July parading this long weekend, I'll be cracking open this raved-about novel, sampling recipes from my new favorite cookbook, and lounging around in this newly purchased bikini top.
