I recently had dinner with Hannah Bronfman, a New York-based DJ (and fixture at the most fashionable parties), record label owner, workout buff, aspiring chef, and all-around high achiever, who recently launched Beautified, an app that allows New Yorkers and Angelenos to book last-minute beauty appointments such as pedicures, blowouts, and massages at the best salons. Despite her frenetic schedule, Hannah, herself, consistently maintains the coolest and most cutting-edge manicures, which typically include emojis, pop art and ahead-of-the-curve colors. Since I am the opposite of manicure-savvy, I asked her to share her current favorite nail polishes. Herewith, her top ten:

1. Morgan Taylor in Deja Blue
2. Christian Dior Vernis Nail Laquer in Gris Montaigne

3. Yves Saint Laurent La Lacque in Violet Baroque

4. Essie Nail Color in Blanc

5. Chanel Le Vernis Nail Color in Accessoire (my fave!)

6. Butter London in British Racing Green

7. Marc Jacobs Beauty High-Shine Nail Lacquer in Ultraviolet

8. RGB Cosmetics in Oxblood

9. OPI Classic Shades Nail Color in Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees

10. Zoya Nail Polish in Cynthia

As soon as our plane touched down at JFK last week, my twin sister was on a mission to buy a new pair of loafers. No ordinary loafers, of course. They would be masculine in nature, with a high vamp, but streamlined and sleek, so as not to be clonky. She was hoping for the Celine variety (see above), as one of her uber stylist friends has a pair and declared them "the new shoe"--or, at least a fresh alternative to the smoking slipper and ballet flat. On Day 2 of our New York trip, we popped into Isabel Marant, where she scored a pair of pony hair buckle-trimmed loafers on sale. She wore them out the door, and is more obsessed with them than ever. Of course, now I am too. So, I did some digging around and found some options, including a suede Isabel Marant version (30% off!) and a patent leather Isabel Marant one (40% off), along with this linkchain-accented Tory Burch, this Sigerson Morrison (20% off), and this (very Celine-inspired) Repetto.

family feud

I spent the weekend with my twin sister in New York. No husbands. No kids. Just us. Just like old times. We fell into our old habits: sleeping together in the same room, running side by side along the Hudson River, and walking arm in arm through the streets of Soho. And, like typical sisters, especially those who are six minutes apart in age, we argued. The biggest feud was precipitated by the $68 sequin Endless Rose top, above. There was only one at Pixie Market on the Lower East Side, and the issue was who would get it. We finally struck a deal: I get to wear it first, then she could have it, and I could borrow on demand. (She basically argued that I have more clothes than her, which is true, so she deserved it). Turns out that I'll triumph after all as the top is now available on Shopbop. So, there!

It's no secret that I am an ardent fan of stripes and lace--so, as you'd expect, the two of them together goes straight to the heart. I found an amazing sweater like the one above here.

A great statement shoe under $100 is a rare find, much less one that is also winter-to-summer versatile.

My oldest can read and write now, so this year for the first time he wrote his own holiday wish list. I am thinking that the elves will have no problem with the airplane, helicopter and bug toys. However, since Lucky Charms and the like are banned in our house, I am not exactly sure how Santa will handle #10 above. No doubt he will try, and I am hoping while he's at it, he can attend to my list, which includes the following:

1. Fenton coral earrings
2. Hermes card holder in malachite
3. Tina Frey hand-sculpted champagne bucket (to make drinking bubbly feel even more glamorous)
4. SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (my sis swears by this miracle-working glow-inducing facial moisturizer)
5. Derek Lam everyday pea coat (on sale!)
6. Two custom name rings by Ivy Diamond Cole (inscribed with my children's names)
7. Tamara Mellon fringed leather skirt (it's crazy fun)
8. The Can't Cook Book by Jessica Seinfeld (I can cook--just not well)
9. Thakoon striped jacket (I would be hard pressed to take this thing off)
10. Good red wine

Godspeed to Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen et al!
