It was by accident that I ended up in the shoe department at Bloomingdale's over the weekend. My intention was to holiday shop for others but a restroom trip diverted me to the second floor, where I came face to face with the above Fendi shoe--the one I have been pining for all season long and was now on sale. Yes, they had my size! I tried them on, walked around, and when I made it back to my seat, three other women around me asked for a pair in their size. Turns out, we all bought this shoe. I would have shared this succes story sooner had Bloomingdales had them in stock online, but it did not. I've been wearing non-matching earrings lately--the effect is a part playful, part unpredictable. The only caveat is they have to look a little bit similar, otherwise you veer into fashion mishap territory. I usually mix earrings that have like metals or stones.
