get it before it's gone
Prada has a way of sneaking into my wardrobe fantasies even when my actual budget is standing at the door with its arms crossed. The Fall 2026 Menswear show in Milan earlier this week prompted one of those moments where I immediately started mentally rearranging what I already own to capture the mood without handing over major cash money. The first thing that got me were the button downs shirts, their elongated cuffs peeking out from beneath knits and jackets. It was polished and slightly undone at the same time, proof that a traditional piece can feel new with the smallest shift in proportion. Also cool: the deep U-neck knits in glowing jewel tones, like canary yellow, rich garnet, and saturated amethyst. (I already sourced THE dupe! This is more feminine.) What I especially loved was how rooted everything felt in my everyday wardrobe. Nothing required a complete personality (or gender!) transplant. It was more about reminding us that classics still have plenty to say if you play with palette and styling. I can absolutely commit harder to my own collection of button downs—particularly my trusted faves by Sold Out (in every color, seriously), The Anteros (above—the long cuffs are drama!), and Without Nothing Underneath—Chanel/Charvet adjacent). As for the bright knits, I am eyeing these by CB cashmere in deep red (with this Prada-esque bralette underneath), this cashmere polo in jade, this Demylee crewneck (perfect accent layering), and this purple knit (inspired by last pic!).
