in the trenches
Tuesday, March 8
Dancing in the rain is exactly what I'd do in this spring-shower-ready Rebecca Minkoff trench coat. It cleverly zips off above the waistline, so it can be also worn as cropped jacket. I also love the brass buttons and goes-with-everything hue!
high tee
Monday, March 7
Seems like graphic tees came and went--and just came back again! What makes them slightly different this time around is that they look vintage and distressed, as if they've been part of your off-duty wardrobe for years. These special t-shirts had a strong showing over the weekend in Paris, primarily as foils to more sophisticated designer pieces (think head-turning statement outerwear, shoes and bags). As you'd expect, this high-low mix works for me, and I'd jump on this trend with these stylish (more subdued) tees by Wildfox, Casper, Elizabeth and James, NSF and Gosha Rubchinsky (above).

Thursday, March 3
The army jacket is moving up in the ranks this season with some strong new flourishes. Think bell sleeves, ruffles, colorful patches, and embroidery. I'd like to enlist a few of these newbies into my wardrobe, specifically the following by Alexander McQueen, The Great, Current/Elliott, Maison Scotch, Topshop, Alexander Wang, and Zara (pictured below).

pretty pleats
Monday, February 29
The pleated skirt trend is still going strong, and I love how Olivia Palermo, in London last week, gets in on it with a striped Topshop standout. I also love these skirts by MSGM, Tibi, Proenza Schouler, Mark Jacobs (on sale!), J.Crew and Zara.

take two tee
Thursday, February 25
The t-shirt, our most tried-and-true warm weather staple, will get an upgrade this spring. Look for the new and improved versions to feature unexpected flourishes, demure cut-outs, asymmetric and cropped silhouettes--and yet remain as versatile as ever. My favorites include this one-shouldered Rosetta Getty, this tie-trimmed JW Anderson, this cut-out Whistles, this knotted Stateside, this slit-sleeved Mango, this scalloped See by Chloe, this pleated back Sacai, this frayed Acne Studios and this ruffle-accented Rag & Bone.
