Valentine's Day is fast approaching, so naturally I've been thinking about... jewelry! Specifically pretty pieces from Anne Sisteron, the Beverly Hills-based jeweler who's become the go-to designer among my friends of late. I am particularly loving the earrings, above--the diamond bling goes straight to my heart! Well-priced too!

The latest addition to my dressing uniform: a bomber-inspired cardigan. I'm layering it underneath my winter coat and will be wearing it over lightweight t-shirts and blouses come spring. My current fave is the Madewell grey sweater, above, which happens to be on sale, but I also love these by Equipment, By Zoe, and Asos (on sale!).

With winter storm Linus looming over New England--snow, freezing rain, more snow!--some additional cold weather style inspo seems in order. The looks, above and immediately below, hail from chilly and grey Paris, while the others are gleaned from Copenhagen. What they have in common is colorful (i.e., anything-but-black!) outerwear. Perhaps the reasoning is that these sunny shades ward off winter's doom-and-gloom--or is that just positive thinking? In any case, it wouldn't hurt to stylishly follow suit with these vibrant (some discounted) coats from Asos, Oasis, Stella McCartney (75% off!), Weekday (30% off), Altuzarra, Hunter Boots (30% off), J.O.A. Offering just the right amount of everyday bling (at $48 for the Bauble Bar set, no less!) and seemingly endless mix-and-match possibilities. Yes, please, I'll take them all!

This pic seriously tempts me to trade in my everyday black boots for burgundy ones. After all, they deliver the same stylish French-chic pop as red ballet flats, plus winter-proof warmth, walk-everywhere comfort, and, of course, unpredictable cool. While the haute couture clothing coming down Paris' runways right now may not be the most accessible, the cool winter-ready looks prancing around the surrounding boulevards are definitely within reach. Take for instance, the striped fur, above, which looks very similar to the Ainea faux jacket posted this morning.
