There are a million ways to wrap up in a scarf, but I just happened upon eight I really like in this graphic above, courtesy of Wit & Delight. An extra big scarf is clearly the surefire ticket, and solids and classic checks work equally well. I'd like to bundle up in these scarves by Isabel Marant, J.Crew, Asos, Paula Bianco, Tory Burch and Gucci.

$88, moda operandi

My long holiday weekend in Mexico (details and snaps to come!) verified that this cute little wrap skirt is the most perfect partner to a bikini.

I am obsessed with Stella McCartney's resort collection: the mash-up of vibrant prints, the sexy cut-outs and fun asymmetrical hemlines. If money grew on trees, one or more of the dresses would already be in my closet. But since I've yet to come across this elusive green tree, I'm happy to settle for one of Stella McCartney's bathing suits, like this one-piece or this bikini, featuring, those eye-catching eye-popping prints, and yes, sexy cut-outs.

Even though my twin sister and I live about ten miles apart in LA, we only get to spend a few hours together every month, thanks to work, kids, and her far flung photo shoot locations. But this weekend we enjoyed a rare 48-hour marathon of togetherness and I'd say that for most of that time she had these high-top sneakers on her feet. She explained that not only are they comfortable, they're a great alternative to winter boots (Jenna Lyons, below, can clearly attest to this!). They are also, of course, a big fashion statement, and Celine's latest slip-on version (last pic), will only propel this trend even further. Here are some options to kick around from Converse, Rag & Bone, Zara and Vince.

The last thing I need in my life is another pair of pricey sunglasses--but I can't resist the idea of getting new season-looking neutral-framed sunnies, just like the ones above. I love how they blend into your face and go with pretty much every outfit. I'm loving these options (some of them not at all pricey!) from Prada, Wildfox, KAMALIKULTURE, Marc by Marc Jacobs and River Island.

For me, a great outfit is one I can wear over and over again. It's usually composed of wardrobe classics; hence the ability to repeat ad nauseum. My go-to winter look right now is very similar to the one, above. It's easy, stylish, comfortable and warm--and it's a cinch to emulate with a coat like this (50% off!) or this, a cozy knit such as this or this, stretchy skinny Frame Denim jeans (pictured), and wear-with-everything black Acne Studios ankle boots (pictured).
